TBayTel Municipal Services Board

TBayTel's first Municipal Services Board was appointed in November 2004. Strategically, TBayTel adopted this new governance model to establish standards for corporate governance, improve its business reputation, increase shareholder value and strengthen customer focus. The board model is a better fit for a full service telecommunications company looking to foster business growth and pursue new market opportunities.

The Board initiated and articulated four core guiding principles to facilitate accountability and gauge performance of TBayTel’s position in Northern Ontario: dividend security, employment creation, economic development and technological innovation. In addition, President Don Campbell will make enhanced customer service for all residential and business customers his primary focus. Relationships with customers and community are paramount to the Board and Management Team at TBayTel. Indeed, one of TBayTel’s key corporate directions is to build lasting partnerships with community-based organizations through a wide range of resources including sponsorships, donations, volunteers, products, services and expertise.

As TBayTel evolves, sound governance from the Municipal Services Board is critical. The Board will ensure that objectives are realized, resources are well-managed, important relationships are nurtured, and the interests of stakeholders are reflected in decision-making.
