Enable SMTP-Auth for Outlook Express1. Open Outlook Express. 2. Click 'Tools' then select 'Accounts' from the drop down menu. ![]() 3. Click the ‘Mail’ tab. 4. Select your TBayTel mail account and click ‘Properties’. ![]() 5. Click on the ‘Servers’ tab. ![]() 6. Click the ‘My server requires authentication’ at the bottom of the window. 7. Click the ‘Settings’ button. ![]() 8. Select ‘Log on using’ option. 9. Enter your full email address in the ‘Account name’ field. 10. Enter your password in the ‘Password’ field. 11. Check the ‘Remember password’ checkbox *IF* you want it to remember your password. Leave it blank if you want to type your password in each time you send email. Do not check 'Log on using Secure Password Authentication'. 12. Click ‘OK’. ![]() 13. Click the ‘Advanced’ tab at the top. ![]() 14. Change the ‘Outgoing mail (SMTP)’ port from the default of 25 to 587. This will allow you to use our mail server from anywhere. Do not check the ‘This server requires a secure connection (SSL)' checkbox. ![]() 15. Click 'OK' and you're done!
